In April 2013, my mum June and I went up to the Hokianga to help commemorate the Chinese men who were lost when the SS Ventnor sunk in the Hokianga in 1902. It was an amazing experience.
Lynda Chanwai-Earle did a radio feature for Radio New Zealand which you can listen to hear . . . you can hear me singing in the first bit of it :-)
