Arthur Chun, 1926-1993

Hey Julia,

How's things?? I heard about your news :-) Fantastic!!

I've set this post up so you can fill it in (you're an administrator so you can do what you want on the site). Of course - do make other posts - just the family history ones I thought I'd clump together and index so they're easy to find for the younger cousins.

Here's the general stuff I know about your Dad - born 203 Willist St, Wellington. Went to Lyall Bay School, Newtown School, and Wellington Tech. Spent three months in China at the end of 1929. He was just little then. The other brothers - like Stan, and Al and Ray will have much more interesting stories.

Hey Kirsten for months I've been meaning to call Unk Stan and let him spread the news - another CHUN is to be born very soon!! But alas I have been so, so busy and time has run away from me! So anyway to tell all, Paddy & I due to have a wee Irish/Chinese/Maori baby around Aug 15th 2008! And we can't wait! We are also getting married next March in Noosa, Brisbane, which is when we will be back home next. We hope to make it to NZ around April too but as my little brother Rick is getting married too we're not sure how much time Paddy will be able to take off work. But I shall keep you updated don't worry!

Anyway I'm DELIGHTED you've taken the initiative to do this Chun blog up. I have to say I'm not that familiar with how a blog works. What if I want to add a separate thread - how does one do that? Perhaps when I'm on my maternity leave I will have some time to add some things - when Unk Stan emailed a lot of Chun info I wanted to respond back but have not found the time.

Oh also Kirsten I was wondering - I can't remember what Aunty does the lovely Chinese writing with oriental flowers? I remember seeing this somewhere. I would like to have "Chun" in chinese writing that I can frame and put in the baby's room. No hurry - I just can't remember who the right person was to contact.

Anyway I'm also very, very sorry to hear the news of Aunty Connie. I have sent some flowers on behalf of us Chun's - please let me know in the next few days if they do not get there.

Hope all is well with you Kirsten!

Be back again soon,
Julia

Kirsten also not sure what the best way is to just email you personally? You know that beautiful family tree with all the 18 brothers & sisters? Is that on this site anywhere?
Thanks,
Julia
