Breaking news! Chun Yee Hop's black book of Chun births found!

Exciting news for all Chun family historians! The famous black book that Chun Yee Hop recorded all the details of the births of his children, long thought lost, has now been found! This is a true treasure for the Chun family as it records all the details of Chun Yee Hop's children including their birthdays and times of birth and Chinese and English names (even their English names rendered in Cantonese by Yee Hop!)

Ken has scanned this precious document so it is now safe for future generations. Can it be put on this blogsite? Let us know!

Amazing!! All my life I've kept hearing about this little black book which had all the family history in it. And how it got lost. Many blamed a certain sister, but it turns out that that sister was completely innocent and it was another sister who had it. My work. All we need to do now is find that photograph of grandmother that used to be at Newtown. The one of her when she was a new bride with her hair in bunches - Chinese version of Princess Leia I suppose.

and at the same time maybe we'll find the photo Doris talked about of the family meeting Dai Ma in Guangzhou - that would awesome too!

No, I don't think it should be displayed on the blog - some people are a bit sensitive about birthdates being shown openly, so privacy needs to be respected

What about the pages on your mum's passing away. There are other pages don't relate to birth dates.
