Aunty Con's funeral

We were all so upset when Aunty Con passed away last week. It was last Wednesday, and it was really unexpected.

I was lucky enough to have been at the hospital at the time. I know it sounds strange to say she didn't suffer - but she really didn't suffer very much at all.

She was restless and uncomfortable, but right up until a few hours before she died, she could still manage the occasional smile. I had a joke with her and Aunty Shirl about us Chun girls being very loud and raucous. That brought a little smile to her lips.

Anyway, we had a really lovely funeral yesterday. It was a real feeling of family togetherness - s thanks for that Aunty Con . . . it's not the same without you!
